Scocha are Scotland's pioneers of Folk n' Roll. From their roots on the ITV Clans series they have developed into a popular international act.
From Hawick in the Scottish Borders, "Scocha" pronounced Sco-Sha get their name from the surnames of the founding members Iain SCOtt and David CHApman. The front men of the band are known for their quick witted banter and raw Scots humour which has endeared them to audiences internationally.
Phil Clayton provides the backbone to the band with a range of interesting basslines that keep the heart pumping. Alan Brydon provides strong musical and vocal input with a wide range of instruments from guitars to bagpipes, whilst Dougie "Animal" Anderson keeps the whole band thumping along with the pulse of Scotland running through the sets.
With appearances in festivals and on TV on both sides of the Atlantic the band has built a loyal following of supporters in a wide sector of audiences, from music festivals to rugby and football support,
A Scocha concert is packed full of variety. Widely acclaimed new original songs, combine with traditional favourites brought to life in the Scocha style. From ballads to foot stompers, anthems to art, all heart felt and delivered with passion.
Scocha is traditional Scottish and Celtic music and song with a Rock n Roll attitude. You can stand or sit - but you wont sit still!
